Latin Word(s) of the Week: animus (AH-nee-moos) – spirit, soul, mind, heart.  There are two similar words in Latin which are very similar: this word, animus, and anima, which means air, life, or soul.  Probably (I am not a Latin scholar), this word derives from the other.  You can see derivatives of these words in English, such as animate.

Notes: 

Classwork: We start a new section of the book: The Commandments.  Lesson 15 begins with the two “Great Commandments.”  Hopefully you already know what they are.  

Homework: Study Lesson 15.  It’s a big one.  We won’t be able to do it all in class.  Also review all past lessons!
