BC2 Assignments 6 October 2019
Latin Word(s) of the Week: rosa (ROH-sah) – rose. This month we celebrate the Rosary. Hmm. The Rosary. Where do we get that word from? The Latin word rosarium means “rose garden”, which has its root in the word rosa. Rosary in Latin is rosarium, or, put another way, Rosary in Latin is “rose garden.” When we say the Rosary, think of the Holy Angels creating a beautiful, supernatural rose for Our Lady with each prayer, and presenting it to her in a bouquet at the end.
Classwork: I hope we can hear some of the awesome oral presentations you worked on this past week on your Baptisms. Today, we finish Lesson 24.
Homework: Write a bit about your patron saint – if you are named after one you may choose that saint, or if you are confirmed you may choose that one, or if neither of the these, you may choose a saint you admire. Please write to your level, and include why you admire the saint!
Use the math! Review all of Lesson 24. Be sure to work on memorizing the questions and answers. That is the core of what we are striving to learn. Everything else is secondary!
