BC2 Assignments 1 March 2020

Latin Word(s) of the Week: poena (PEH-nah) – punishment. Today’s lesson is on punishment and indulgences. There are many derivatives in English — penalty, for example.

Bible Reading: St. Matthew 16:19

Classwork: We went through the last few lessons so quickly, in some cases you were left almost entirely on your own. I hope that you kept up with the reading. And I’m looking forward to those Lesson 31 quizzes you all did at home.

Today we have a short Lesson. Let’s try to use that time to review the overall theme and some content of the last few Lessons. We’ll look broadly at Lessons 27-28 (Mass), 29-31 (Penance), and today’s Lesson 33 (Punishment).

Homework: This week, instead of being assigned any writing – I want you to instead read. Read, read, read the catechism! Please study Lessons 27-33, especially if you did not attend the few classes we had, have not been doing the homework or even taking the quizzes. It’s your responsibility to continue to study the faith, Christian Soldiers!
