BC2 Assignments 7 Mar 2021 – Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

Latin Word(s) of the Week: jejunus (YAY-yoo-noos) – fasting. We fast to do penance and imitate Our Lord. This is the third precept of the Catholic church. “Jejunium” is an old Latin word for Lent.

Bible Reading: Ecclesiasticus 21:1-3

Classwork: As we discussed in class last week, I wanted to “reset” a bit since we missed several classes in a row. We reviewed Lesson 7 again. This week, we will take the Lesson 7 Quiz, and start looking at Lesson 8.

Homework: Please read Lesson 8 and review all past lessons. Set aside 15 minutes every day to read the catechism! 15 minutes a day = nearly two hours a week. This is a minimum amount of time. We are obligated to know God if are to love and serve Him.
