BC2 Assignments 7 October 2018

October 7, 2018

Latin Word of the Week: regnum (REHN-yoom) – kingdom.  You might remember a word from last year, rex, or king.  Pontius Pilate famously asks Our Lord, “Tu es rex Judæorum?” (St. Mt. 27:7).  This week’s word of course comes from the same root.  You will see it in the Our Father — “adveniat regnum Tuum…” — but there are many derivatives in English.  Can you think of any?

Notes:  We will talk about Christendom Lunch!  Or Should we call it Christendom Brunch? 🙂  Should we number them like Super Bowls?  Christendom Lunch II.  Or Christendom Lunch  A.D. MMXVIII?

Classwork: We’ll Finish Lesson 11 from last class.  Lesson 11, if you remember, is another “big one.”  I hope you had some discussions with your parents!  There is still more to unpack.

Homework: Review Lesson 11 (always review all past Lessons!).  Skim Lesson 12!
