Latin Word(s) of the Week: mensis (MEHN-sees) – month.  I wanted to introduce you to this word, and some time words in general, as we are just in the very early days before the Lenten cycle begins. There are many days which derive their names from the time or from numbers, so it’s good to have some useful time-based vocabulary handy.

Notes: This week is the blessing of the throats in honor of St. Blaise. Please try to get to class as soon as possible so we have time for everything!

Classwork: We have only one class dedicated to Lesson 17, as it is relatively short.

Homework: Review Lesson 17 and, as always, review all past lessons. Read ahead to Lesson 18.
